Girls Softball

The girls’ slo-pitch team participates in league play as part of the WECSSA association.  To date the league is made up of 14 teams, dividing into two divisions:  County and City.

The season seems to pass quickly, as league play is wrapped up within three weeks time.  Playoffs begin and a championship game follows, where the top County and top City schools face each other to claim the title of WECSSA Champion. The league season ends with an All-Star game, consisting of 11 athletes from each division.  This season, UMEI has one representative having the honour of playing in the All-Star game.  Congratulations to Chelsie Lepp!

As well, it has become tradition that the team travel to London, ON to compete in a high school tournament sponsored by Slo-Pitch Ontario.  In years past, the team has had great success, winning the title of division champions for two consecutive years.
